Delwar Hossain

Delwar Hossain, PhD is Professor of International Relations, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and concurrently Director, East Asia Center, University of Dhaka. Delwar was the Chair of the Department during 2009-2012. He studied at the University of Dhaka for his Bachelor and Masters programs. Subsequently, Delwar did his second Masters and doctoral study in Japan under the prestigious Asian Development Bank and Monbukagusho scholarships respectively. Delwar has more than 27 years of teaching and research experiences in the broad areas of International Relations. Delwar specializes in international relations theories, foreign policy analysis, global cooperation studies, peace & security issues and conflict and development. Delwar also specializes area studies with specific focus on South, Southeast and East Asia. Delwar serves in public and private academic organizations as a senior member to policy making, faculty recruitment, and research evaluation.
